Meredith's Pioneer Park is a delightful playground and picnic area in a peaceful bush setting.

Here visitors will find an electric barbecue, picnic tables and a gazebo along with an outdoor fitness station and a shady children's playground.

The picnic area is adjacent to excellent sporting facilities at the Meredith Cricket and Recreation Reserve, which features multiple courts, a sports oval and a skate park.

The picnic area consists of one electric barbecue set in a large bench with picnic tables on either side.

The tables are set out in the sun, while the gazebo contains bench seating in the shade.

The attractive playspace is set beneath the trees alongside the ball courts, and provides a variety of playground equipment with adjacent bench seating.

Interesting features of the park include a charming old tractor standing as an ornament beside the picnic area, and a stone cairn which houses a time capsule.

The cairn displays the following text on a plaque:

The Stones of this
MILLENNIUM CAIRN
with enclosed
TIME CAPSULE
were each laid by the People of
MEREDITH
with their Dreams and Hopes
on the Evening of Saturday 31st December 1999

Toilets and rubbish bins are located over between the courts and the oval.
