Features

  • Covered, fenced playground
  • Picnic tables
  • Drink tap
  • Grassy area
The Newstead Park is an excellent, well equipped playground set beneath the shade of several large sails.

Largely constructed of wood, the playground is shaped like a pirate ship and features several climbing structures, cubbies, a bridge and a wave slide.

The play area is covered by shade sails and the entire area is fenced (although it doesn't have a safety gate).

Visitor facilities at Newstead Park

There is a drinking tap and a regular tap, picnic tables, nice trees and garden beds, and a beautiful grassy area.

There are no rubbish bins in the park itself, but there are street rubbish bins close by.

Amenities nearby

Across the road is the Newstead Friendly Grocer/Bakery where you can purchase food/drinks to enjoy at the park.

A toilet block is also located a short walk away. From the park, cross the road and go past the bakery along Panmure Street. The toilet block is just before the Newstead Pool.
