Jubilee Lake in Daylesford, Victoria was originally known as "Hepburn Goldfields Reservoir" and was built to supply water to the local mines during the 1860s. 

Today the lake has been developed into a popular destination for recreation and relaxation, and is one of Daylesford's many must-see attractions. 


Jubilee Lake is a popular spot for swimming, fishing, birdwatching, bushwalking, and picnicking. 

The lake features excellent barbecue facilities, a playground, picnic tables, walking track, mineral spring tap, kiosk, café and toilets. 

Canoes and paddleboats are available to hire from the kiosk. 

Swimming at Jubilee Lake


Jubilee Lake is a popular destination for swimming, with several great spots around the shore to access the water. 

The beautiful setting of the lake along with the fantastic visitor facilities available here make Jubilee Lake one of the region's best spots to cool off during summer. 

BUSHWALKING AT JUBILEE LAKE


Visitors can enjoy an easy 30 minute circuit walk around the lake. 

The track is approximately 1.6 km long and travels in a loop around the lake, offering beautiful views over the water and a scenic trail through the surrounding forest. 

Be sure to stop and sample the water at the mineral spring tap along the way. The Daylesford region is renowned for the quality of its famous mineral spring water!

Fishing at Jubilee Lake


Jubilee Lake is stocked regularly with rainbow trout, making this an excellent family-friendly fishing spot. There are multiple great spots along the shore of the lake to set up for an afternoon of fishing.
