The police residence is a beautiful red brick building with a hipped slate roof.
This is one of the earliest examples of a police building in Victoria.
The lock up, 1867
Avoca's old lock up was built in coursed bluestone with a gabled slate roof.
Two cells are accessed by a secure entry with an iron gate.
