Features

  • Beautiful, scenic spot
  • Views over the Loddon River
  • Walking track begins close by
This picturesque little love seat has been cut into the side of a fallen tree and rests in a quiet spot along the Loddon River in Baringhup.

This is a beautiful place for a peaceful packed lunch or romantic picnic alongside the river, followed by a stroll along the water to the river side of the impressive Cairn Curran Weir.

You will pass this seat alongside the river just a moment before you reach the parking area for the scenic Loddon River / Cairn Curran Weir Walking Track

The love seat and walking track are best visited in winter/spring for green scenery and higher water levels at the weir.

When the water is flowing at the weir it rushes down over layers of bedrock in a series of beautiful cascades. Watch out for snakes if visiting during the warmer months.

There are plenty of spots along this section of the Loddon River to set up for an afternoon of fishing.
