The Midlands Reserve and Water Park in Ballarat North is a fantastic play space for children.
A bright and colourful water splash park stands alongside a well equipped playground within a large grassy area.
Visitor facilities
There are two undercover areas beside the splash park.
One of them provides picnic tables and two free barbecues.
The park also provides a drinking tap, a toilet block and rubbish bins.
Opening hours
The splash park opening hours are:
- Monday to Sunday 9am to 9pm
- November to April
The splash park is cost-free and button operated, the water runs for 15 minutes each time you press the button. In case of fault contact the Council on 5320 5500.
A sign at the Midlands Reserve displays the following text:
WELCOME TO THE MIDLANDS RESERVE WATER PLAY AREA
Park Rules:
- No running.
- Water is non-potable. DO NOT DRINK.
- Climbing is prohibited.
- No gum, glass or food of any kid on spray pad.
- Children who are not toilet trained are required to wear a swim nappy.
- Do not use spray pad if you are suffering from any type of skin sores, infections or illness including common colds and flu, or diarrhoea.
- Adult supervision required.
- Management reserves the right to deny anyone entry to the spray pad.

Between 9.00am and 9.00pm every day during summer, except Christmas Day
