Features

  • Lots of diggings
  • Beware open mine shafts
  • Dense scrub
The Chinese Diggings Historic Reserve was worked from the 1850s up to the 1930s, and contains many well preserved round and rectangular mine shafts.

This 4 hectare reserve consists of dense scrub, uneven ground and many open mine shafts.

Always watch where you are walking in this area and supervise children at all times - it is not advised to bring small children into the Chinese Diggings Historic Reserve due to the unsigned and unfenced open mine shafts throughout the area.

The Chinese Diggings Historic Reserve is located just up the road from the interesting White Hills Sediments Geological Reserve.
