This small, scenic camp site is a great place for hikers to spend the night as they travel the Wallaby Track section of the Goldfields Track.
A small clearing sits right alongside the creek on a bend in the road, with enough room for a couple of swags or small hiker tents.
There are coals from a campfire in the middle of the clearing, but no structured fire pit or picnic tables. Campers must be self-sufficient.
The little creek is seasonal and is often dry by late summer, but it is beautiful when it is flowing. Gold panning is allowed in Sailors Creek.
Please note that there is not much room for cars to park here, and there is a water crossing in the road while the creek is flowing.
