The Ballan Mineral Springs sits alongside Shaws Road, to the right of the road as you drive to the beautiful adjacent
Bostock Reservoir. A gravel parking area is bordered by picnic tables, overlooking the shady Moorabool River East Branch.
Narrow walking tracks make their way down to the mineral spring tap, where more picnic tables, bench seating, and an undercover area is provided along the small, seasonal river.
This spot is filled with butterflies during summer, and makes a great place for either a picnic lunch or a quick stop on the way to
Bostock Reservoir down the road (fantastic for fishing, picnics, walking, cycling and photography).
Be wary of uneven ground, trip hazards, and snakes when walking down to the mineral spring tap on the narrow grassy tracks.
