The Maldon Anzac Hill Memorial was established as part of the Maldon Sub-Branch Returned Services League, 1988 Bicentennial Year Project. The Memorial comprises of a plaque and German-made Turkish Gun, which was used against Australian Forces at Gallipoli in 1915. The gun was restored with money raised by local residents and was unveiled on 24th April 1988.
A plaque alongside the restored German-made Turkish gun displays the following text:
According to Monument Australia: The associated plaque states that the gun was captured on Gallipoli, but it is unlikely that this is correct.
