The Crossing Picnic Area sits alongside Yankee Gully and is a great place to stop in for lunch while exploring the Steiglitz Historic Park and the Brisbane Ranges National Park. 

Water fills the gully during the cooler months of the year, and rocky hillsides overlook the picnic ground on the far side.

Several picnic tables and wood fire barbecues are available for visitor use, spread out over a large grassy area which lies alongside the seasonal creek.

Is camping allowed at The Crossing Picnic Area?


Camping is not permitted at The Crossing Picnic Area. 

An excellent camping spot is available nearby at Friday's Campground.
