  • Undercover picnic area
  • Free electric barbecue

The Heathcote Playspace is a bright, colourful and creative play area, uniquely designed to reflect the region's significance as a grape-growing centre.

A huge wooden barrel is incorporated into the playground's central play structure, and half-barrels are used as planters throughout the play space.

The playground includes many more interesting features such as a mini Heathcote Market, a balancing ring made out of wine barrels, and a manual water pump (which flows into another barrel, of course).

The entire play area is fenced with safety gates.

Picnics at the Heathcote Playspace

An undercover picnic area lies just outside the playground. An electric barbecue and picnic table stand beneath the shelter, with another picnic table located out in the sun.

There are also rubbish bins and a drinking fountain.

Where is the Heathcote Playspace?

The Heathcote Playspace sits along High Street and is part of Barrack Reserve, a fantastic sports and recreation complex.

Stamp battery on display

The fascinating Heathcote Stamp Battery is located right near this playground, just a quick stroll up the road.
