Features

This pretty dam within the Greater Bendigo National Park is a great spot for gold prospecting, bushwalking and birdwatching.

During spring, wattle flowers decorate the scenery. The dam is likely to be dry during the warmer the months of the year.

Please note that there are no visitor facilities here, but this is a great spot to bring a picnic blanket and have a packed lunch by the water.

To the north-east of the dam, there is a section of private property - you can see the area on Google Maps which is privately owned (the Greater Bendigo National Park is shaded green, the private property is blank).

Take care to avoid this area when bushwalking and gold prospecting around Sandfly Road Dam.

Camping is available nearby at Notley Campground and Rush Dam
